We'll get better view when sun comes up. Must of been some compacting.

From Long Island. Not sure what part. May have been the area with less than 10"?

Interactive map of snowfall figures from the Mt Holly NWS coverage area from yesterday's storm. We actually did pretty well in South Jersey. Some parts of North Jersey definitely underperformed. Overall, though, still not quite as much snow as originally predicted. I haven't measured it, but at least 6 inches of snow (15cm) fell where I am - possibly a bit more.

How much snow has fallen in Philadelphia region? Latest updates - Philly

It’s still going. Unbelievable.

Those high snow totals forecasted by the NWS have verified here. I measured roughly 15” two hours ago, and that doesn’t account for compaction, although there shouldn’t be much compaction since the bulk of this snow fell overnight at insane rates.

Where I live in Greenbelt, MD we got 6.9 inches:
https://wtop.com/weather-news/2018/0...mmute/slide/1/

Excerpt:

Storm Team4 meteorlogist Chuck Bell said Wednesday’s snowfall probably ranks in the top-10 for spring snowstorms, meaning snow falling after March 20.

Most of the area saw between 3 to 6 inches of snow, although the National Weather Service recorded more than a foot of snow in some parts of Frederick County, Maryland. All three D.C. area airports recorded at least 4 inches of snow as well, Dulles International Airport set a new daily record with 4.8 inches of snow.

Thurmont, Maryland in Frederick County got the most snow, with the National Weather Service recording 16.5 inches by 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Outside of Frederick County, Lineboro in Carroll County Maryland saw 13.5 inches of snow by 4:06 p.m. on Wednesday.

A bit closer to the D.C. area, the National Weather Service said Oella, Maryland, in Howard County got 7.5 inches. In Prince George’s County, Greenbelt, Maryland got 6.9 inches. In Montgomery County, Clarksburg, Maryland got 6.3 inches.

When I got home yesterday my power was out but came back on about 30 minutes later...

Thanks for all the reports and posts guys. It will be fun to look back on and remember the storm.

Let me do some catching up now..

Some Snow totals from NYC and Long Island. See more with the NWS NY PNS report. Here is the one for NWS Philly coverage area

I will have to grab this map again tomorrow. It's only to 8am and doesn't include more reports from Long Island and into New England but you can see a general idea for now. Wow at the cut off!

Will have to see who won the poll. Looks like PA, NJ, Long Island are close!

CoCoRaHS observer reports from NY sorted by most snow. Almost 2" liquid as well but not all of it was snow. WOW

CoCoRaHS reports from PA

Snow cover this morning. What month is it.

There it is today looking pretty. Skies are trying to clear here, things are melting. Temps in the 40s down to North Carolina. Still a Cold March day.

Oh no. Here we go with the blame game. I haven't read this one yet. I do know the Euro and NAM models hinted at the bust areas but was within 12hrs only.

This must be click bait type of reporting. Instead of blaming someone (or something), Id like to hear the whys and what happened. Ie: the storm and Upper Low was 50 miles east more than projected. Instead of southern New England with the most snow it was NJ-Long island and the Ocean. Everything shifted south last minute
