107-108f breezy for Fresno this Sunday.
Daytime will suck, but night time will be decent.

Sacramento might not even reach 100f on Sunday.

Not only will it be scorching up north, but a lot cities won't be getting a breeze to cool them down at nite :/

High was 81F here 77F at MDW and 76F at ORD.. Looks like the storms are mostly to the south of me for this evening but could redevelop and cause flooding after midnight

the PNW and High Plains are hogging all the summer heat

106F is forecast for Seattle with 110s for eastern Washington. WOW. For some perspective, the city of Chicago has only reached 106F or greater on eight occasions (at Midway airport since 1928). The suburbs have seen more but still. This is SEATTLE we're talking about

Maybe inland CA should go all in on corn instead of almonds. Corn sweat seems to be doing a good job blocking the heat out east :/ hey, it's worth a try

The heat wave hasn't even really started, and Port Angeles, WA has already set a new all-time high temperature of 95F due to downslope winds off the Olympic Mountains.

LOL it's not the corn sweat that's blocking the heat here but an omega block

Not even close. Check out this video in Chicago. So much rain has come down so quickly that the sewers couldn't handle it. Water blew the manholes off the sewers and is shooting 50ft in the air
