Temperatures are still above-normal here for the foreseeable future, but way more reasonable than during our insane heatwave. 73F and sunny right now.

Finally, 50s! But with the Low Pressure over us and the front STILL hanging off the coast, watch those clouds move back into this area and raining again in NYC. More rain coming. 2.69" rain from this front past 3 days

GFS now showing cool again. Doesn't look like this holiday weekend heat will be sticking around long

GFS wants to bring in unusually chilly air for several days next week

Got down to 60 at LGA and 59 at Central Park. Sounds unimpressive but that's actually the coldest July temp at those stations in over 10 years.

But the really anomalous thing today will be our max temp. We are going to be pretty close to 45-year July lows with a max of just 64 predicted!

Actually raining on Long Island and moving towards me

See the rain over the Long Island Sound?
I'm where the red box is

63 here and cloudy. Still about 10-15f too warm to be considered nice weather; doesn't feel as pleasantly cool as I'd like while riding my bike. But still about as close as it gets for july.
