CFSv2 not showing the cold in the Central US at the moment. In fact not showing much colder then normal conditions even further south. What gives with this model?
But then again the GFS just a couple days ago was showing this

No motive but to gripe about the weather in Chicago CG? I hope this summer in your area isn’t as horrendous as you seem to be making it out to be, hopefully Chicago will have at least one more respectable heatwave this summer.
Are you a Fresno native or did you live near the coast before? I'm curious
I'm a desert rat. I've only lived in warm/hot dry places(Rockies, Palm springs, and Fresno(born))
I can handle heat, but this is some bull...
Second hottest June in Fresno. More humid than usual(at least it's been breezy). Meanwhile, half the country keeps hogging all the cool weather. Just frustrating. Gonna have to pack it up and leave in a few years cause I don't see this trend changing.
I know you like summer but I think we're due for a cool summer.

I see sun in Western NJ. If these clouds stay put for another 4 hrs we got ourselves some record cold numbers.
Look at these temps for July. WOW. I don't mind the dews when its this chilly. lol
33.1C / 92F was the warmest high today in my region, inland valleys warmest. Warmest in Norway so far in 2021. Our airport again much cooler at 27.7C, probably breeze from the fjord.

Fresno still has better weather than 95% of the country, especially from September through May. Anywhere else you go that isn't LA the Bay Area or San Diego will be a downgrade
NWS confirmed an EF-1 tornado was on the ground within about a mile or so from me on Thursday. Winds were pretty crazy at that time. That tornado ended up going onto the National Mall and causing tree damage there.

Last summer was the warmest on record here in Means but it really wasn't that hot. Last really hot summer here was 2012. I do like hot summers but I need them to balance out the rest of the year. Plus ENSO neutral summers coming off a La Nina are usually hot. I don't think the rest of this summer will follow those analogs.
Today it was sunny but only 81 degrees here. Up to 86F at both Chicago airports
Texas is turning into Florida
And Florida is now turning into Louisiana. Hmm
It appears that #Miami has just set its *ALL-TIME* record high heat index at 3pm on July 3!
The previous record was 110°, and today it reached 112° thanks to a combination of 94° temperature & 79° dewpoint (if verified). https://t.co/kg9ODFLxiE (heat index records not official) https://t.co/o9H1gAP6TR
