It is chilly today! In fact, Albany & Poughkeepsie will likely set new record minimum high temperature. The previous record was 69 set in 1992 in Albany and 70 in Poughkeepsie set in 1982. So far today Albany has only hit 63F and 66F at Poughkeepsie. #nywx

Happy Fourth!

euro 51 member ensemble just 2 weeks ago showed broad scale warmth

now look for the same time period. What's with the Euro and it's warm bias??

Around 90 degrees for the next 3 days

CFSv2 still not seeing any chilly weather for here

GEFS certainly is in the 6-10 even in the 11-15 but backs off just a bit

CFSv2 not showing nearly as much rainfall which is why it wants to keep things warmer

GEFS is soaking basically the entire eastern 2/3rds

not as much in the 10-16 day but still no drought for most of the eastern 2/3rd this summer

Can someone explain to me how the GFS in the ensembles are showing cooler than average conditions in the 12-16 day but here it shows Chicago's forecast to be in the 90s??

Had more rain the last 10 days than i have all of Jan thru most of June. Storm to my south looks to be another dud and i expect nothing much at all unless the track can shift 100 miles more to the west of me. Would love a good 20" soaker and see it stall northwest of me.

We are in a major drought in the west. We've been advised to pack emergency bags in case we have to evacuate due to fire. Temps remain in the 90's with no end in sight.

Look at these temps for July. WOW. I don't mind the dews when its this chilly. lol

Sun did come out for a few mins around 4pm here. Pushed us 1-2f above the forecast of 64. Went away pretty quickly, so it couldn't do much damage thankfully. Still turned out to be the coolest july max in 16 years, not bad at all.

Nice! No sun here and Bridgeport had its 2nd coldest July day. Only 3 yrs out of 78 yrs had a colder July max temp.

A record for the date too

Dews are nasty here at 76f with a west flow. Hope the TS can bring me lots of rain to make up for a dry year but we know how it always ends up.

84°F with a 90°F heat index (thanks to a 70°F dewpoint) at 8am, headed to 104°F this afternoon (Phoenix, AZ)

Today's averages are 107°F/83°F

"it always ends up" without any significant drought conditions in your area
