Further south in Texas it looks to have reached 100°F. Is that the first time this year?

IKK and MDW hit 54F today but ORD only reached 44F. Front pushed south and now it's considerably colder with temps in the 20s. Could see below zero windchills by the morning

The "water hose" that's feeding our front is coming all the way from the Pacific Ocean.

Witnessed a thundersnow event near Dubuque, IA yesterday around 8:00AM. There was heavy ice/snow mixed, and occasional lightening and thunder. Interesting weather situation when it occurs.

In January 2014 didn't we have a drop from the mid-60's to around 12° the same day?
