if my perosnal tastes dont matter then yours dont either. to me it feels like spring and thats it. if it was at least 25c then i would call it summer but its not. especialyl this year there has been no summer so far. miracle if it hits 20 on some days
Would you not say that a lot of Poland doesn't have summers then as most of it doesn't average 25C in any month?

ok so i guess i was right. its usually 1 odd month thats above average in that year... and i can see some strange picks.. i think u only focus on temperature?

june 2007?! that was a horrible month, it rained almost everyday, windy, disgusting and only reach 25 once and you guessed it... london!
july 2008? seriously? 19 rainy days and avg high of 22.9c at heathrow airport? how is that above average?

i cant even be bothered to check the rest of the months because i can already see that you are easily pleased with weather here and classify most of it as nice.
Seems like you are just so used to that crap that you consider it nice.

They were largely below-average, but there were some above-average months with temperatures reaching 90F in August 2012. The summer of 2010 was actually above-average, but was rather cloudy, and wet in some locations. Was dry here though.

June 2009 was also a decent month, and the temperature reached 30C here in northern England on the 1st day of July. August was pretty bad though if you prefer sunny, warm weather. I believe there was an official heatwave in June 2009.

It's directly on the English Channel coast - what did you expect? Of course summer highs are subdued. Surely you knew this already? Besides, that isn't official climate data as none exists for Brighton. Either way, the difference is sunshine - have a look at nearby Eastbourne: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastbourne#Climate - it probably feels a lot warmer most of the time due to sunshine being much more abundant.

How were you right?? You claimed we had only had TWO decent summers in the UK in the last 30 years lol

All of those months I listed had temperatures that were above average, I didn't say they were all dry & sunny (if you had read what I wrote in the first place)

I am not "easily pleased" I am just stating that those months did actually have above average maximum temperatures

I made the point that people forget a decent month in a generally rubbish summer (did you not read that either?) It has been below average in the grand scale of things across the UK, obviously there are regional variations & the Met Office use the CET series to classify what is above/below average. These stats are only from the SE...
