Good neighbourhoods:
- Flamingo Park
- South Park (do I spell the name wrong ?)

Also, I still can't locate South Dixie Highway, where is it ? Goople Maps returned nothing after the search !

There was a home invasion at 2938 Via Vizcaya Lake Worth, is this a high crime neighbourhood ?

According to news, the arrested said he heard that location/address was a drug house.

One of two men charged in suburban Lake Worth home invasion ordered held without bond

Another teen who lived at this Lake Worth location (1300 S Federal Hwy Lake Worth) was sentenced 270 years in prison, yes, no typo, 270 years in prison.

Lake Worth teen sentenced to 270 years in prison for violent home invasion robberies

Google Maps showed 2 different locations with the same address.
Google Maps

Are they all high crime neighbourhoods ?

While I was searching for the addresses, I accidentally found S Dixie Hwy (also called 1 and State Hwy 805) which runs N/S instead of E/W.

Why didn't he join the army and serve the country instead of committing a string of 15 violent home invasions ?

It is pretty violent in the States compared to Canada ...

I wouldn't live in that neighborhood or that area, to be honest.

Also, note it says, "suburban Lake Worth"... that's not really Lake Worth. It's an unincorporated area that gets a Lake Worth address.

On the plus side, you are actually LESS likely to be assaulted in the United States than Canada. Also, less likely to be raped, and apparently we have less people arrested on drug offenses. Actually, according to this you are less likely to be a victim of some type of crime in the USA than Canada:

NationMaster - Crime stats: Canada vs United States

Murder is our big thing here. Luckily, "innocents" murders are only a fraction of the astounding total... which are most often aquaintance or drug/gang related. I don't have a source, but I recall reading that if you aren't a black male between the ages of X and Y, your chance of being a murder victim is very very low... on par with any of the other Western nations.

In West Palm Beach, my recommendations are always:

Flamingo Park, (Grandview Heights as well, especially if you want to get in on renovations), El Cid (fancy!), Southland Park, Central Park/Monceaux, Mango Promenade, South of Southern (AKA, "SoSo," AKA, the "Southend").

Found this article again today while doing research:

Welcome to West Palm Beach - NYTimes.com

This article is from 2004. A lot of it still applies. The development is headed in a positive direction as indicated... but this article was written during the housing boom.

I think I am relatively "safe" at the moment, and my family and I will definitely avoid troubled areas. We will only go to tourist areas such as Palm Beach, CityPlace or other big shopping areas, Flamingo Park and other historic places during day time, and the cruise terminals.

We will visit places in the tourist guide but won't go to any late night clubs.

I checked out that address using Google Maps, doesn't look good to me either.

Same with the address of that teen who was sentenced 170 yrs in jail, that is a run down neighbourhood, I could tell right away.
