Omg Powers Lounge.

Never went; think I did go to Ernys once.

Went to Sail Inn, stumble out once with some coworkers.

I was told that some of the places on Atlantic are lowering the rents.

Used to love delivering mail there when it was still “undiscovered”. So many interesting buildings and nooks and crannies; fascinating mom and pop stores. Compared to Ft Lauderdale, etc it was like going back in time, in a good way.

I remember so many if the store owners and residents were from New England, especially Maine.

Now it’s just some generic downtown, although some of it is pretty.

The Boca Raton Mall, it was my favorite mall back in the 80's, sad that it closed back in the day.

Their angel hair bolognese, while not super healthy, was spectacular.

Sure do! I'd drive up from Broward. That drive seemed so long at the time. Took my grandparents once when they were down visiting. Had a very nice time.

Hope I am not showing my food snobbery here, but does anyone miss La Vielle Maison? Ate there twice, once with my grandparents who loved it, and once with an ex who thought it overpriced.

As for me, I enjoyed it each time--food, service, ambiance--a special treat.

I used to love La Vielle Maison.

The food really didn’t interest me. They were more than happy to accommodate my diet, even though French food is not the most vegan friendly thing.

I just loved the atmosphere. There was something about it. I can still remember walking up the stairs...

I recall Vito's in Regency Court Plaza, when Vito ran things and before his ex-wife ran it into the ground and they closed, had some of the best meat tortellini I've ever had.

It’s hard to believe there was once a lumber yard on Atlantic downtown.

And a tire store at 60 NE 2nd Ave.

And do the people in the new condos in the 2000 block of North Federal know they’re living on the grounds of the former Delray Drive-In?

Things were sooo incredibly different 30 years ago.

Anybody remember Joey's on Singer Island or The Greenery on Singer Island? Joey's used to have Reggae Sunday back in the 80s.
I remember Joeys in the early 80's. I was a waiter there for 3 seasons. What a great place! The upstairs was great. Live music, dancing and good food. Singer Island was [and probably still is] a great place
