Went to Sail Inn, stumble out once with some coworkers.

I was told that some of the places on Atlantic are lowering the rents.

Brewzzi had a great run (like 20 years+). I ate there last summer (2017) and the food was good but the place was getting tired. It needed a remodel and their City Place location closed years ago.

My guess, the landlord jacked the rent after the lease was up and they just couldn't make it work with the new numbers. 20 years in the restaurant business in Boca is definitely a strong showing.

City, when we first moved to Florida WSHE had some kind of contest in which the winner got 10 albums, a shirt , stickers etc all personally delivered by the WSHE van.

Teenaged me was the envy of the neighborhood as I proudly claimed the prize.

Anyone remember the Bounty Lounge bar at the Holiday Inn in Boca on Glades? Two levels and the downstairs bar had a giant ship as one of the bars. Met Greg Allman when he played there. His "girlfriend" at the time had to stay in the room bc she was too young to come into the bar.

Nope don't remember the Bowery but how about the Safari Club (early 90's)?

My BF at the time (now husband) worked the bar at Safari and Bounty Lounge...those were the days...

Hmmm... I don’t recall the Safari Club at the moment. Sometimes I do get some of the clubs confused as there were a few I only went to once or twice.

I think my friends’ bands (Saigon Kick and Vandal) played at Club Boca. But I think there was a name change there. Or maybe that was another place called Weekends.

I went to Dante’s Den in Briny Breezes for my 17th birthday . My illegal beer night.

I was a metal head and opera fan . Still am. So places related to those were my hangouts- mainly Broward and Dade county places in the late 80s-early 90s. Especially Summers on the Beach and Button South.

Do you remember LaNotte on the intracoastal in Boynton? There’s a park there now. That was the mid 80s. Kind of a disco place.
