I'm not at all surprised by how you were treated

Thank you.

Now what I really need to do, is bake Chocolate Chip Cookies and deliver them to my rescuers. I know where one or two of them lives.

It's all me. Technically, the events of the day are great. But I don't feel great. I am an ungrateful little so-n-so.

I'm sure you're fine. We're all too hard on ourselves. We're allowed to have our no so nice days. I can tell from your posts on this board that overall you're a pretty nice person. So give yourself some slack ....

I hope today is a better day for you.

There action that you experenced in it self qualify them to be called mountain people.

Proud people , ready and willing to help and expect nothing in return, but a "thank you".

Don't forget them; they won't forget you

I was in a simular manner as you; 4yrs ago; I came back and haven"t left the mountains.

Ody
Mountain people are great especially the old farm families

I did find my shoe later! It came off when I jumped in the moving car and was under my seat.

Yeah, I laughed too. He said it so completely dead-pan.
