I was able to get my dogs walked this morning, so that was good. We had a steady rain here (just west of Asheville) for a couple of hours. I had moved my hanging plants out of under the porch roof, so they got a nice watering.

I also have about 10 hummingbirds eating me out of house and home! I have to make a gallon of sugar water ever other day.

Be thankful, there are those of us down in the flatlands for another day or two just wishing we were back in the high country. High humidity and high temperatures is a bummer down here.

Yes...I love it here when it rains...it's only 64F and will be lower overnight. Windows down and smelling the clean, fresh rain.

Welcome to the east coast (i.e. or east of the Mississippi).

At least the TV meteorologists aren't getting into a tizzy about a drought. "We normally should have 30 inches of rain by this time of year and we only have 29!"

We come up from Florida every year in our RV to spend four months in the cooler mountain air. My plans to do a lot of hiking and waterfall runs have washed away...… I have cabin fever.

Back in the high country, rainy, foggy, soggy, but great to be back. Partial clearing for the weekend, fingers crossed.
