It seems that this portion of CD is really preoccupied with races (as well as the Political portion). I know it is "pie-in-the-sky", but I wish we would refer to people of all colors as just people instead of "race". There is only one race and we are all compatible.

Normally, it's not like this here in "World". You just happened to catch this forum at a time when someone posted several topics on race. I don't look at these particular topics as being about race in a negative way. They're partly about human diversity, partly about anthropology. If geneticists, anthropologists, archaeologists, and linguists are talking about these things, why shouldn't we? No one said we weren't compatible. We're just analyzing differences and discussing. I don't think "race" has to be a four-letter word. It's all in how you approach the topic, your attitude, the spirit in which you engage in such topics. I'm enjoying these here.

Good post. It's like, just talking about race is seen as racist.
Most people generally look at Middle Easterners as a distinct racial group. I personally have never meet any Arab Americans who considered themselves White.
