We are already a nation of SEPERATE STATES, yet Democrats want to make us one big collective like the former USSR. That's not how it works folks. We have a system that at least theoretically allows States to remain sovereign and distinctly different. Don't like nutty California? You can move elsewhere, and many people do move for economic and political reasons.
Poor comparison. The USSR was made up of republics which have more autonomy than states do including the unambiguous right to secede.
If the US broke up into several countries, what reason do you have to believe any of them would be able to overcome the current broad problems? The same people with the same social and civil disconnects would still elect the same candidates to introduce and pass the same bills.
Those who advocate for it seem to suggest that in the case of a split, different regions would be able to accommodate specific views. The Northeast and Pacific Coast would be the liberal strongholds, with the Deep South being the most conservative...
Obviously, the premise is pretty ridiculous since the same problems still would exist. People with a certain viewpoint would be underrepresented in their respective region.

That's a bit of nonsense. Citizens of the USA can emigrate to almost every country in the world. Possibly not to North Korea and maybe not to Myanmar, but everywhere else is available.
The British Commonwealth countries expect immigrants to be able to prove that they won't go onto the government dole, but other than those countries, requirements to enter into any country in South America, Central America, and most of Africa are extremely easy to meet.
I don't know what immigration requirements are in the Middle East, but a lot of Americans live there, so it can't be too difficult. All of the eastern block countries allow immigration easily. Plenty of Americans living in Russia and China.
There are absolutely no restrictions about leaving the USA. Want to leave? Just go. No problem. No one will try stop you.
It's bull that there is nowhere to move to. Anyone who can't stand it in the USA, all they have to do is pack their suitcase and go.
Cant afford it? Many of the countries that will happily accept US citizens have a very low cost of living. It's a heck of a lot cheaper to live there than it is to live here.
