Oh Sadie, pretty Sadie with Long Black hair
She lives down by the water
out in nowhere.
She sings like a sparrow, all the day long
and at night she sits and cries for she's all alone.
Oh Sadie, lovely Sadie what has happened to you?
Sometimes its not ment for dreams to come true.
Stop walking the river and calling his name
For he will never answer, your life cant be the same.
Oh Sadie, please Sadie you must let this go
Look up at the stars,he waits there you know.
He would be sadened if he knew you this way
Time passes quickly, youll see him one day.
She came to my bed
But why? I did not bid her
so soft and warm,
I Turned toward her
to touch, to caress,
was it skin are sheer cloth?
The hand reached round to embrace,
to pull her to me,
instead the hand pulled through.
Then I pushed at the pelvic zone,
went to far, not in but through.
The alarm went off; it was a dream!
I am born again, too many times to count,
and live in a succession of afterworlds,
suspended between death and rebirth
like a man in cardiac arrest.
I heard someone speak of discovering the meaning of their existence!
Why bother? Today is not the same as yesterday, and I start over
and over, the Etch-A-Sketch man, God's moving target.
Another morning has broken
each of us has received another token.
With open eyes we are allowed to look around
and see flora and fauna all abound.
The mountains we can see in all its precious glimmer.
The sun is rising slowly to the sky
birds are flying way up so high.
Some you can hear singing sweetly
So peacefully,it takes your breath away briefly.
Seasonal springs one can hear afar.
Water is running down from a mountain stream
the sun puts on a magic gleam.
The water ends up as a brook
and magic is all what it took.
Animals are everywhere.
Deer is grazing quietly around the meadow and brook
one is tempted to have a closer look.
Rabbits are hopping and chasing each other
no care in the world or bother.
Birds of prey flying way up high.
On the mountain rocks one can see climbing goats
from the shining sun their grey hairy coats.
Ravens flying across the tree line
everywhere one could smell the Pine.
Afternoon sun brought warmth in the valley.
Evening is upon us now
The sun slowly giving it's last bow.
From the distance you can hear ringing a church bell
In all it's splendor, all is well.
The sun has set for the night.
The night has come and you can see the moon
on a little lake a lonesome loon.
The night is clear nothing one can hear
stars are shining bright and clear.
Oh what a beautiful and peaceful night!
Around valleys and mountain tops one can see
with a big smile and a glee.
Bald eagles are flying high
in the clean blue sky.
It is a National symbol for thee
gliding and nesting on a high tree.
Young and old come together
hoping for good weather.
People having picnics everywhere you look
Some under trees, some near a brook.
Children are playing games and flying kites
Oh what peaceful sites.
Soon it becomes dark and people are getting ready
cleaning up very steady.
Fireworks are about to start
and parents and children stand closely apart.
What a wonderful moment for everyone
nobody want it to be done.
Beautiful fireworks lit the sky
all their hearts are ready to fly.
And for everyone a happy 4. July!
By my window is sitting a dove
so beautiful white must be from above.
It is looking right at me moving around
as I am washing my dishes and go about.
It is a beautiful day
no sorrow or dismay.
Birds are chirping and having a bath
no one is in their path.
Butterflies are sitting on the Cosmos to have nectar
on the lawn lies neighbor's dog Hector.
Bees are buzzing eagerly
how beautiful and wonderly.
Morning Doves are sitting on a fence
making my garden with full suspense.
I want to go out and water my plants
but first I have to put on my special pants.
Tomatoes outside are giving off yellow dust
so long cloth a definite must.
They look so delicious red and ripe
I started to eat one for they are my type.
Time to clean up my yard
now where is my old cart.
Weeding is a tiring job
but a success once you see the crob.
How late it is,time to go
just need to let the water flow.
My birdbath is filled up with fresh water
Now it is time to give a call to my daughter!
My poems can be quite dark and almost pessimistic... but I actually find them hopeful, because I am trying to emit emotions that others can connect with. And I guess the only way to understand my poems is to feel what I am feeling. Anyways... here's this one I wrote a few days ago.
Midnight Memories
I was scared in those days
Silent terrors long past midnights
And the screaming fat man two doors down
It was silence that took him
And silence that also creeped
through the dark corners in my room
I still see her late at nights
Creeping
I am now that man
I am not, I am not, I AM NOT!
Interesting and very strong. I don't find it so much pessimistic as ... desperate? desperately clawing toward the light, so to speak.
There was a fat man that used to live two doors down from me. I'd sometimes get insomnia and stay up late at nights watching movies on my PC. I'd hear that man screaming past 3 or 4 in the morning. Then he finally stopped, but my insomnia didn't. I later learned that he died and no one ever knew that his body was decomposing in that apartment two doors down from me. It must've not been long because there was never any smell.
I began to realize that if I never did anything about my life I'd end up like that fat man alone in my apartment screaming in the middle of the night until I died. Silence is none other than death herself and darkness are her shadows. She hovers over me like a good old buddy late at nights telling me, "so are you gonna do something with your life or not?" So yeah, I can see how I am desperately clawing toward the light.
