How on earth do you "exploit" a film audience -- hold a gun to their heads and force them to buy movie tickets??

No, you produce cheap crappy movies that you expect them to buy tickets to because the movies convey a particular statement. I bet if you were in the film production/promotion industry, you'd be able to think of ways to exploit an audience. Your job would depend on it. Just like, in all probability, your present job now depends on some market being exploited to the full extent of its gullibility.

There are some people in the world who are not heavily armed, and holding a gun to somebody's head to force them to do something is not the first persuasive idea that pops into their minds.

I didn't make up the word. I just told you what it means.

"Gag" wasn't meant as snarky. The word "smegma", to which I was responding, makes me GAG!

Shaft was a great, groundbreaking movie, we saw it in the theater in '71. It changed the face of Hollywood forever.
