'Unbeliever,' a condescending term used by adherents of a particular religion referring to everyone else on the planet.

Likewise, denier, which is used the very same way by adherents of various cults both religious and political. As soon as someone applies that epithet, I know their mind is both made up and closed to further input.

You will not like this: denialist is now in the updated Concise Oxford English Dictionary. It's one of the 400 new entries.

I find "haha" very irritating when I'm reading an e-mail or post. It breaks the rhythm of the sentence, and is a lazy and clumsy way to convey sarcasm or tongue-in-cheek meaning.

This has probably already been brought up, but it drives me nuts when people use "female" as a noun, as in, "why do females do such and such" or "I asked a female for directions." I know that there are correct uses for the word, e.g. the scientific "female of the species," but in casual conversation, no thanks.

"Due to circumstances beyond our control" or other phrases of this ilk, Boats, Trains, Cars, Airplanes are due to arrive at a point in time, The Plane is over-due, the train is due in at 9pm. It is "BECAUSE OF" circumstances beyond our control....
