I heard this term the other day in a movie--and I was wondering about its origin

"Suicide blonde"

I found that it was dates back to 1942, and is likely a pun on the phrase "died by her own hand", meaning not a natural blonde.

That's a good one!

Here's some more cat quotes and sayings:

A cat in gloves catches no mice. - Benj. Franklin
or Easy doesn't do it.

To "Busier (or madder) than a one-legged man at a butt kicking contest." we can add:
"Busier than a one-eyed cat watching two mouse holes."

"A cat can look at a king."
Or Cat's have no disregard for human rank or title.
