From Hiawatha by Longfellow as quoted by Katharine Hepburn's character in Desk Set.

(Where she lived)
By the shores of Gitche Gumee,
By the shining Big-Sea-Water,
Stood the wigwam of Nokomis,
Daughter of the Moon, Nokomis.

Later a description of a lightening bug:
Little, flitting, white-fire insect,
Little, dancing, white-fire creature,
Light me with your little candle,
Ere upon my bed I lay me,
Ere in sleep I close my eyelids!

I'm so tired, I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow. A few to sleep on though!

You know, the Native American headdresses
[aka Comanche War Bonnets] were quite
remarkable with their red and yellow plumes
of turkey feathers, colorful beaded rosettes etc.

These weren't worn by the Indian Chief simply
for show, rather he wore them..

Sphincter police-Had a little help with this one.
Oh, saucy, I wish you hadn't posted that.

It's reminding me of that riotous Firesign Theater "Sergeant Sphincter" segment.

I needed this one today. I saw a young man who looked like a kid to me driving on Poplar Avenue and said to my better half, "Is he old enough to drive?" Then we laughed when I realized, Uh,oh, I must be getting old.

It's been a few years since young 20-somethings started looking like children to me so a teenager behind the wheel was a real surprise.

I like this one, too.

Any idea why the crinkle crankle walls were made that way?
It's happening to me at work, now, too. Fetuses are walking around the office.
