Most banks, and most insurance agents in the US, will notarize documents free-of-charge for their customers. If your bank or insurance agent does not offer this gratis service, that is a good reason to take your business elsewhere.

"...not hiring enough staff to do basic things like stalk store shelves."

Just found this in the Walmart thread on PoC.

Walmart surely does not have enough staff for every job that needs doing. This one seems pretty easy (since the shelves themselves will not move.)

I suspect that many of these folks would go to a "Notary Republic".

That's awful. And I get annoyed at the people who simply refer to the PABT as "The Port Authority", as in "I'm taking a bus to the Port Authority". Really? The Port Authority is a bi-state agency that owns five airports, the NY/NJ shared harbor seaports, the PATH rapid transit system, four bridges, two tunnels, two bus terminals, and the World Trade Center. So where exactly are you going on that bus?

This is a losing battle, I know. I'm just being cranky.

Posted in C-D... some are possibly typos; some aren't. How many do you see?

"...This one guy I was working with were having breakfast in this real dive of a diner in the French Quarter. He excused himself to go to the bathroom and I spotted a mouse scurrying along the basboards. I watched this little critter until I lost site of him behind the man siting at a table...."

The same error from the shopping forum:
...the barista's at starbucks were really attentive and knew you by site...
A homonym error is one that I would make when I'm tired. I KNOW the difference, but my brain's too tired to pick up on it at that moment.

I think your rite!

Also, cut & pasted directly from the c-d TV forum:

"I never watched Friends when it was in it's hay day..."

I thought that show took place in New York. Where did they find hay?

Sometimes 'tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to use one's fingers and prove it so.
