In a local newspaper feature article:

"A pool of perspiration collected at the base of a glass that stood untouched ..."

I want to know how perspiration got on the glass if no one touched it.

Condensation on the other hand ...

Spotted on Amazon.com to pitch (the plot) of a self-published book:

"For all intensive purposes ..."

Sadly, said book is currently at No. 14 in its genre.

Today, at the Menlo Park Mall in NJ, I had to refer to one of the mall maps in order to locate some of the stores at which I wanted to shop.
Even on a "professionally prepared" sign, it is now apparently impossible to avoid spelling errors, as the largest category of businesses was listed as, "Reatail Stores".

Vectoris, I've always loved "it's a doggy dog world". Nothing gets me smiling like that one.
That one cracked me up as well. Always reminds of Norm walking into Cheers saying, "It's a dog eat dog world, Sammy, and I'm wearing milkbone underwear."

Closed captioning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It may be done live by someone the way court reporting is done or by speech recognition.

How about ect instead of etc?

And in Canada paying by debit card uses a system called Interac, but so many people can't resist the temptation to stick a "t" on the end.

Like walkin' acrosst the road.

He stoled all the beer, then drownded in the lake.
