"Bacon smell makes me wretch"
Since when does bacon turn someone into a despicable, vile person?

It's the blasted aroma!

Another one that seems to give people trouble is "weary" used in lieu of "wary". I also wondered if they are crossing "wary" and "leery" in some short-circuit of the mind.

But I've seen too many instances of something like, "I am weary of moving to that neighborhood because the area looks rundown."

A long-time member of my church died the other day. I got an email asked if I would make a dish for the re-passed. I guess since this woman has "passed", when you eat after her funeral, she will be "re-passed"?
I'll bet they were trying to say 'reposed'.

I doubt the "reposed" would be dining.

For the repast, perhaps?

... paint those participating in them with the shoe that fits.

A new mode of modern art, perhaps?

" A 14 year old girl that gets pregnant can get her own apartment. There is a good chance her mother had her at a young age and her daughter thinks it's normal. Now you have another family on the lamb. "

Thanks old-cold. After reading it in context, it seems to me that the writer just didn't know what "on the lam" meant (or the proper spelling) and assumed it meant the same thing as "on the dole".
