This morning, while waiting to have my blood drawn at Lab Corp, I noticed a small sign which stated, "The aim of the Lab Corp team is to provide excellent quality service for our patient's."
Hopefully their skill with medical laboratory procedures is better than their language skills.
I see that mistake so often on my students' papers that I wonder if it has something to do with spell-check or auto-finish? I know that when I let my iPhone finish some of my words when I am typing, it often "writes" something I don't want!

I would say "It's me" as well in that situation, but when I answer the phone and someone asks for me by name, I always say "This is she." Somehow on the phone it doesn't seem so pompous!

Again, I see plurals written that way all the time, and I've never understood why as it seems like such a simple rule.
(But Retriever, at least it didn't say "four our patience"! )

Apostrophe abuse is so tragically common. Also common is to see egregious misspellings on professionally-produced signs. Does NOBODY along the way notice, or care? Shouldn't a minimum requirement for manufacturing signs be, the, you know, the people involved can actually read and write?
Two that spring to mind where I live:
An alignment shop, lovely big clean operation. The lighted sign reads, "Condon's Professional Alinement's."
Another is, of course, Bob's Family Dinning.
