However, I doubt that people who mis-spell voila have any idea that it's a French word.
They apparently don't read ; only spell it phonetically.
"Walla" is not the correct French (or English, for that matter!) pronunciation of "voila" (which translates roughly to "Look here!"). It's more like "vwa-la", with the accent on "la".
I'm glad I found this forum. Clearly, I have forgotten some rules, but you all will have me straightened out in no time.
Just make sure you recognize when it's humor - I've seen very few outright attacks in this forum, but a little humor and sarcasm surfaces occasionally.
