If moving to an area... do your research, not an anecdotal incident.

I've been to CFD several times on windless days (July in Cheyenne is not Feb - April) July is, in fact the lowest wind season in Cheyenne (good time to host events), and a GREAT time to visit

WINTER SERIES: Cody area windy, but not as bad as rest of state
Officially, Cody’s year-round average wind speed is 7.4 mph. In Rawlins it is 12.9, Laramie 12.4, Casper 12.4 and Cheyenne 12.0

There is a relocation website that allows you to compare several cities side / by side.

You do know, don't you, that people in all 50 states, all the territories, and, believe it or not, every continent (yes, I have seen people on stations in Antarctica wear baseball caps) wear baseball caps?

AND when they transplant themselves to other areas, they continue to wear those baseball caps.

Just when I think this can't get any more ridiculous.......

Ok, they do wear baseball caps, but, many times, not the baseball caps that locals wear. IOW, Feed Lot Companies, Livestock Auctions...........designs/emblems like that.

Locals here wear University of Wyoming / Carhartt / Sitka / Kuiu / Cabelas / Trump 2020 caps. Not feed lot or livestock auction caps.

Well, we've been to Cody, Laramie, Cheyenne and have most definitely seen livestock, rodeo and ranch related ball caps. So, we do know they are worn in Wyoming.

And, we also know that some students at UW wanted to change the different teams name from "Cowboys" to something else and stated "not everyone in Wyoming is a cowboy", but the University wouldn't do it.

I have a UW Cowboys baseball cap and proudly wear it sometimes.

To a point, to us anyway, Wyoming, just like Montana and a few surrounding states, will always be both rodeo and ranch "cowboy/cowgirl" related. And, the PRCA rodeos, parades and western celebrations, like in Cody, Sheridan, Cheyenne and Laramie prove this!
