But, we are continuing to pack things and getting ready for a moving company estimate. Finding an apartment to rent hasn't been easy, but we will find one.

We know how hot it is there right now, but "heat" is just part of visiting or living there during a few summer months. What will really be nice is leaving the 41 inches of snowfall and below zero temps that happen here (Northern Colorado) in the winter.

Now, if by chance we find out we simply can't handle the heat, within the first year there, Plan B will be to move to Reno or Carson City. If we do that, will sell our boat and our "boating days" will be over. Reno has a very nice 10-day PRCA rodeo w/a purse of $800,000. Whether Reno or Carson City, could take a nice weekend trip to Lake Tahoe and the casinos there. Compared to here, at 41 inches of snow, Reno only gets about 20 inches. Definitely better!

So, very close to happening, I-25 to I-70 to I-15 and we will be saying "here we come!"
A happy ending in Henderson, Nevada?

Not so much for the people there that get to deal with this happy couple in person. I've been following their saga for quite a while and give it less than a month until they're griping about their new neighbors. They have my pity (the new neighbors, not the BabyBoomers). At least it's free entertainment for the forum.

BB Saga is not ending, just a new chapter beginning in Henderson for a while. They are already planning for Reno. Yee Haw.

Didn't read all 15 pages and correct me if I'm wrong but they rented an apartment site unseen (last year he said they didn't have the $$ for a premove visit) short of signing the lease which they will do on Sunday but also paid thousands of dollars on their already tight budget to have their belongings shipped there(September 8). This should get interesting.

I think that is what they did. They'd been to Henderson before, but not that apartment building. I'm guessing it's not a senior-living apartment complex, so they will likely be mixed with a bunch of young folks who are full of youthful drama, noise, and have never heard the word rodeo. That's pretty much what they complained about back in Loveland, CO.
