Description: Established in 1973, LifeSpan Resources, Inc. has as its mission the promotion of independent living for people of all ages. It is the designated local agency on aging for Clark, Floyd, Harrison, and Scott Counties in southern Indiana. It is one of 16 regional agencies that serve the state, and its responsibilities include the development and coordination of programs and services which enable older adults and persons with disabilities of any age to remain independent in their own homes. Some services are provided directly from LifeSpan, and others are contracted with home health-care agencies, nonprofit entities, and private-sector businesses. Specific services include care management, outreach, counseling, legal advice, nutrition, and transportation.
