Description: With the slogan “Burgers, Beers & Bloody Marys,” diners know what they’re in for when they go to midtown’s Goldbergs II. (The “II” in the name separates the midtown Goldberg’s from another similar outfit in West Omaha.) Outside of its wide variety of cooked-to-order burgers (including a delicious patty melt), Goldberg’s offers 14 varieties of bread pudding; flavors vary daily and diners can buy a single serving or a whole pan to take home. Homemade sandwiches and entrees, soup, salad, and traditional American appetizers round out the menu. Goldberg’s II is a casual restaurant; it has the feel of a bar but is still appropriate for families and can easily accommodate large groups. The decor is simple: lots of wood booths and tables and a popular outdoor seating area that faces the busy Dodge Street corridor.
