Description: A fun fiesta of a restaurant, Guaca Maya serves up live music, dancing, and great, authentic Mexican cuisine. The huge South Omaha restaurant specializes in Mexican seafood, and there’s a lot of it on the menu. The atmosphere at Guaca Maya is bright and colorful, with servers dressed in traditional Mexican garb, a full bar, pool tables, live music and dancing, and a private party room available for rent. Daily specials include a discounted buffet for military personnel, Tuesday discounted margaritas and Miller Lites, a Wednesday free buffet for kids younger than 10 years old, and a Friday night happy hour from 7 to 10 p.m. The parrilladas platters are a seafood smorgasbord and include all blends of seafood, meat, sausage, chorizo, pork, beans, and vegetables. All the whole cooked fish dishes on the menu are tender and flavorful. Each month, the chef prepares some special items; these also have special pricing. Guaca Maya has a regular buffet on the weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $6.99.
