Description: With a hip, Asian-inspired decor and a menu full of excellent, Asian fusion dishes, O Dining and Lounge is one of downtown Omaha’s most popular eateries. The food is a blend of French, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and American food; and, though that seems quite the melting pot, O pulls it together into a menu that has wide variety and many standout dishes. O serves more than 40 wines by the glass and also has a select list of reserve wines; Asian beers are here alongside other domestics and imports. The decor could also be described as Asian fusion: black lacquer tables and chairs meet more modern prints and paintings on the wall, and a quiet bar tucked on the second floor has a great view of the Gene Leahy Mall. Service is friendly and helpful. One of the most popular items on the menu is the Rice Bowl Medley: It’s a sort of healthy version of fried rice that’s mixed to order tableside. A number of creative vegetarian dishes dot the menu—veggies stir fried with mock duck included. Almost anything can be customized to the diner’s liking; don’t hesitate to ask if you prefer tofu to beef or chicken.
