La Quinta Inn on Hardy Oaks in San Antonio, TX.
I’d like to know why, when I reported clothing & medications theft to front desk twice, the managers never responded to my complaint. My meds are vital to my health. I have diabetes & take 2 different meds for this. I have BP issues, Fibromyalgia, nerve & muscle disorders, a total torn rotator cuff that is pending surgery & depression. I had just had all my meds refilled for 90 day supply as I’m in San Antonio area to care for my 75 year old mother who had surgery the day of the theft. I live over 360 miles from here & will be here over 2 months. These meds probably cost several thousand dollars without insurance, again, they had just been filled. I don’t have the cash to replace them all at this time due to this trip & insurance just paid for them. However, I still had to pay over $200 out my pocket already because of what my share of cost is. My meds included a narcotics & some other controls meds due to my condition. These meds are vital to my health & there are 3 that are dangerous to be withdrawn immediately which thanks to this hotel, has occurred. Plus when I finally went to the front desk this morning after still having no response from the managers, I saw a sign that stated that housekeeping would not come to the room but every 3 days. I asked the desk clerk if this was true. When he replied yes, I then said, I was here less than 24 hours when housekeeping came to my room. Why? His eyes got large & stated that he would let manager know. Mangers there are worthless as none responded to my issue. These meds were in a insulated lunch tote that had a name of another hospital printed on it. It was inside the bottom of large a brown handled bag that had dirty clothes in it. There is no reason whatsoever that this bag that obviously looked like a shopping bag, should have been touched. The irony of all this, is that my brand new shirt, that I had only worn this once, said on it, Why y’all trying to test the Jesus in me. I will be putting reviews everywhere I can find about this incident at this motel. I have already made a police report. According to the officer, this will go to the theft unit, & because of they type of meds will ask be investigated by the Narcotics unit. Now on to contact my physician & home pharmacy to see what can be done about this, why sitting here at the hospital with my mom. The stress of it is already affecting me & I have no meds to help my situation.
