- The kitchen floor (linoleum with rubber base coving) has signs of wear around floor drains and underneath the 3-comp sink. The rubber base is cracking and/or missing at corners. Per custodian (Larry), the floor was going to be replaced prior to the 2015-16 school year starting. If replacing, call our Department to make sure the material(s) being used is approved. Rubber base coving is not an approved replacement material. A 3/8" integral cove must extend up the wall a minimum of 4". Patch/repair or replace kitchen floor by next routine inspection.

Toilet rooms shall be vented to the outside air by a screened openable window, an air shaft, or a light-switch activated exhaust fan, consistent with local building codes.
