Two people should not share an account. They can register under separate accounts. It is not a problem... They might send a DM to Marka, just so there is no confusion...
My wife and I have separate accounts on City Data. It is not uncommon. We are not sharing one account. We have different names. That is a different issue than two people using the same account. We have separate computers and we don't even talk about City-Data in our daily lives. My 18 year old grandson also had an account for a brief period (One day I think) while visiting, City-Data was not for him.

Guilty as charged. Sorry!
Except:
My husband and I opened this account when we were moving to a new town in CT and wanted to ask some questions. After we moved, I discovered all the other forums on here. He never posts anymore. I do, though. So even though "our" name is DandJ, it's only D (me! ) who posts.
I would ask for a name change, but so many people know me (D) as DandJ, it would be confusing.
I got into trouble for opening an account and I think I may have even been using my mom's old computer at the time. But the home address was the same so the IP was the same. Even though mom had long moved and had not posted in a long time.
Now having said that--the Moderator was kind enough to not ban me once I explained all the above.
Others though may not have known to contact the Moderator to clear up any confusion.
There has to be a way to make couples, room mates, families understand how to make that work.

I was told, wrongly it seems, that only one account was allowed per household.
There have to be ladies of the house who wish to privately ask a relationship question, etc. and can not do this when using her husband's account.
Not all household's can afford more than one computer, but may have 1-2+ family members that would like accounts for privacy type questions. (Wife, husband, 18 year old child still living at home, etc.)
I've got only one computer so that's one I/P address.
So, as long as each person has their own user name, more than one account is acceptable?
Other's say not so, and that two accounts on one computer, means one person with two accounts.
You can have more than one user at the same IP address, but PLEASE send a message to Marka so that she can make a note on the account that the multiple names are OK.
