Lol. Afrocentrists cite a source, and then when it turns out that the source says the opposite of what they thought, ITS RACISM!

Whatever.

You often hear Afrocentrists talk about how there was no concept of race in the ancient world. But now that the sources say the Egyptians weren't black, there was a concept and they were all racist.

Keep going. You are just making yourself look ridiculous.

He said 18 kings were Ethiopian..My take is the TRUTH is somewhere in the middle. I think some Egyptians would be classified as "black" if they were in North America today...some would be Semite and
some would be Mediterranean looking...I think in today's terms, it was a multi-racial society who thought of themselves as Egyptians vs. others. Today's equivalent would be Brazil...Egypt being invaded by different peoples made it multi racial. Just look at the paintings themselves. I think the origin of the ancient Egyptians were partly black as the area was being settled by different peoples at the same time.

Sure. You can have your own assumptions and make up your own definitions. That is your right. But anyone citing Herodotus has to acknowledge that he considered Ethiopians (Nubians) and Egyptians as different.

Period.

Never said Nubians and Egyptians were the same, you can look at the paintings and artifacts and see that, the problem is people are trying to impose 21st century American racial definitions on the ancient Egyptians to promote an agenda.

This is an American" black/white", 'either/ or binary" cultural response. I would speculate that the ancient
Egyptiians were multi-racial through out their civilization they probably resembled Brazilians who are all
different shades and hair and feature combinations. There is a difference between multi-racial people and
pure Black Africans anybody can see that.

Interesting that there's always a push to separate Egypt from Africa......and yet, we never seem to separate Ancient Rome and Greece from Europe. I mean, Romans and Greeks are quite different from northern Europeans (that they regarded as barbarians) but we seem to merge them all together like one big happy family.

Africa has so much history south of the Sahara. Most westerners don't really know this, unfortunately. Blacks need to be seen as vaguely inferior and bereft of culture (by those in power that work to keep working class/middle class blacks and white separate), and Egypt is sort of the middle finger to that ideology. Those that insist that ancient Egypt's triumphs were largely white/middle eastern, do so not because they actually care about Egyptian history, but rather want to confirm their own belief in black inferiority. It's why those types will talk up the greatness of Ancient Greece and Rome when discussing pre-Dark Ages Europe but then flip over and talk about western Europe when we discuss the modern world post Renaissance. They want to be viewed as superior because of the accomplishments of people that lived hundreds of years ago, but then don't want to take any responsibility for the negative outcomes (genocide of Native Americans, trans-Atlantic slave trade etc.).

Great post.

Egypt was multi-racial even just looking at how they depicted themselves. People didn't think in terms of "white = good" and "black = bad." It was Egypt vs. Everyone Else. Brazil is probably a good modern day comparison with the difference being that the elite came in all colors in Egypt.

Wonder why some westerners are so determined to prove black inferiority?

Because it doesn't support what you want to be true?

The study uses the best science currently available, I'll give it more weight than religion, racial ideology babble, or a history book any day.

According to the Bible, Yakub (Jacob) invented White people. He did it by grafting and selective breeding or something.

This chapter was somehow not included in the Christian bible. lol

As for the Ancient Egyptians, the ancient statues, paintings, drawings whatever you call it. All depict brown skinned people. Even the Israeli (Europeans who migrated to Israel) admit that Jesus was brown. http://www.popularmechanics.com/scie.../a234/1282186/

Another part of History that the Europeans tried to "Erase" was the 700 years of being ruled by the Black Moors.

Europeans burned thousands of texts, paintings, etc etc. to try and erase it. To try and "Cover" this missing 700 years, they call it the "dark ages". lol Nice try.

This is a lie and off-topic I can pretty much guarantee that you aren't a Moroccan or Portuguese or Spaniard person. Just stop with the bull **** of trying to tell a story that isn't yours. The people pushing that whole crackpot version are Afrocentrist delusional black Americans and on the other side of the pendulum are the white trash white power bigots. The DNA evidence and people who are actually from those cultures don't follow your bull **** concrete binary black and white world view.

This would strike at their worldview of who they are, I read an article that as long as you followed Egyptian
customs, obeyed Pharaoh and worshiped the Egyptian gods you were considered an Egyptian..Egyptians were
of different races and intermarriage was not an issue, there is a writing where a Nubian princess and
Anatolian were married and they were both part of the royal court and were buried in the same tomb.

Blacks were part of Egypt, as were Anatolians and other peoples.
