This is a good time of the year to go there if you don't want to see Shakespearean plays. They do one or two Southern Writers Project plays from now until the start of the repoirtoire season that are usually relatively new plays and have a strong Southern content to them.

Yes, they probably wouldn't want to see one either, but you never know. Last month I went to see The Count of Monte Christo with my daughter (celebrating her 11th b'day), I sat next to an young English woman who was traveling around the Southern US, alone I might add for you safety-concerned persons. She was passing through Montgomery and decided to see a play, called that day, got lucky and ended up on the front row.
