Milleka, thanks; I enjoyed the photos. Your brother seems to live an interesting life. It would be fun to be able to travel that much.

Alaska is a red state, so it only stands to reason your vote should go to Ripon, WI, birthplace of the Republican party.

Option two could be Greensburg, Kansas.

I don't know, but I've been told, Talkeetna is the place liberal Alaskans go to grow old.

I agree. His job has taken him to Austria, Iceland, Argentina, Key West, Camodia, England... I'm probably leaving something out. He has also appeared in Vogue Italia and some recent French publication. He's totally awesome and I'm very proud of him.

Talkeetna isn't doing very well. In fact its in last place. Some town in West Virginia is first.

Well then there's some hope. The town in WV I've never heard of. But then again WV is more of a drive through state than it is a destination. Maybe its better to not be #1 & have the town despoiled by developers & the great hordes of people who look, litter & leave.

Only 530 votes to date.

Out of 20 cities, Talkeetna is just about in the middle of the pack at #10.

Not bad for a town of a couple of hundred in the middle of nowhere! Just as good they don't win, they would be so over run, those there would want to run off and hide!
