Is the Matanuska Glacier the one you can pretty much drive your truck onto, provided you had a truck that was off-road capable? Gorgeous shot once again.

You can get close with a vehicle. You can see the road in this photo, which is also in Chilkoots photo if you look close. Turn to the right for the reserved camp site, and left to the parking area for hiking access.

Looks like the leaves have turned much more since Sweden and I were there a couple weeks ago.

Great shots Frostnip; those tussocks don't look like a whole hell of a lot of fun to move through. I want to go to the western Brooks, by the Kobuk and Noatak, which according to John McPhee is the "best walking in Alaska", or something to that effect.
