It hasn't happened to the lower river in a few years. Last year the middle Kuskokwim was hit hard at the village of Crooked Creek. The ice in front of town here is still holding solid with water rising daily. The lower end of town will be under water here soon. Will keep posting as it breaks up.

Water is rising here in Bethel now, the ice is still intact. The water from upriver is now pushing into the lower areas of Bethel.
