After 18 years since 1992, the Chukotkan musher became the bronze winner of international race. Michael Tel’pin from Yanrakynnot community, Providensky district brought to Chukotka the real victory! Everybody here is very happy to this fact.
Due to the data of Kamchatka Government official web-site, the winner is Andrey Pritchin – 48 year-old musher from Karaga, the second place is for German Ainachgin – 48 year-old musher from Hailino. And the third position is for Michael Tel’pin – 46 year-old musher from Chukotka. The main referee of the race, Aleksander Molchanov told that it was the most difficult completion on his memory (in Beringia since 2001 ). Both people and dogs are tired. They went on in a snow snowstorm and missed two days. And it wasn’t clear till the last moment who would be the winner.

Those are some beautiful dogs in the second pic, Oleg. What's the name of that breed?

John, sounds like you got the makings of a good fish fry... =) It's been awhile since I've had some good fried catfish. Something about the farm-raised cats don't appeal to me. Is it that way with you, too?

This year it truly is Happy Easter to all as both Catholic and Ortodox calendars match.

I spent mine close to nature, the real church of God!

And if you feel like fish fry, stop by, there's plenty for everyone!

(any suggestions for good home made batter mix?)
