Oh ok, cool. I always thought that was pretty neat, having that tram. Jeez, Atlanta has a friggin subway to get you from terminal to terminal! Like, literally a subway, like you would see in a city, just with much fewer stops. Platform and everything.

So, I made a thread about this in the western NC part of C-D, but they're kinda boring over there (well, not boring, there just aren't many people), and I like chatting with you guys. Especially stiffy. Anyways, my roommates and I just signed a lease on a new house out in the country in Barnardsville, NC. It's a little forgotten town, unincorporated since 1970. And it's such a hidden gem. You go up a gravel road, then another gravel road, and our house is in a grove of trees, completely secluded from all neighbors (although there's one house we will be able to see in winter, but whatever), and so quiet. All you can hear is the river running through the front of the slope we're on.

Here's a picture of the view from the front porch (during a thunderstorm, so imagine it on a clear day):

So yeah, I'm super excited. I've been wanting to get out of the city for awhile now, and we found a place finally. So glad to be out where it's quiet and peaceful. It's just another step in getting used to living in out-of-the-way areas, since that's what I want out of Alaska. Except in Alaska, the mountains will be even bigger, and everything will be covered in snow!

Looks like a nice spot. A little more rugged than where I'm at here.

The great thing about it is that it feels rugged and yet you can get to the grocery store in under 15 minutes. It is 20-25 minutes from Asheville, which is where I work and go to school, but my car gets good mileage, I'll be fine. To me, it's worth it to live in a nice, mountain location. All you can hear at night is the bugs and the occasional owl. And it's on a gravel road! Up a hill too, so it might be interesting when it snows. Guy said he's never seen anyone stuck in the snow there though. We'll see.

Nice. If it were me though, I would change the color scheme and have an opaque shower door. Something about a green toilet might give me nightmares. I had a childhood fear of toilets when I was a young child, particularly if the toilet was not in my home. It took a few years to get over it.
