I have never understood the infatuation with gambling. Throwing darts at the WSJ and then buy the stock ticker hit would give you a better expectation than gambling in a casino. As for such a big resort in the middle of nowhere, I find that questionable.

It's not the remote location as much as the landscape looks more like Winslow than Flagstaff. Yeah, you can see the SF Mountains in the distance but it's not anywhere near your doorstep. False advertising with the "Just East of Flagstaff" caca. For out of staters who pay in advance expecting Ponderosa and beautiful mountains, they will feel robbed.

Has to be for I-40 traffic and an outlet for those in Flagstaff (who most likely wouldn't be getting a room) ........ Hard to imagine a full scale resort in that location though. It isn't particularly pleasant. Frequently windy, kind of dusty, not much in the way of scenery ........ maybe they can package shows & other entertainment to draw people in ... it isn't that far from flag, especially when you consider that it's on a freeway .... however, even as a traveler I'd be more inclined to just grab a room in Flagstaff

Drove by yesterday on I40. Billboards said, grand opening may 24, what is today. A lot of advertising like "Best steakhouse in Flagstaff"

It is about a quarter mile from the interstate.
And it sure isn't finished yet....

I have to say... even though it is a 2 + hour drive for me to go to Twin Arrows... I REALLY like it there! I find the majority of the employees (in all areas) very nice, polite and accommodating. I especially like and respect Megan (casino host) as she TOTALLY helps patrons, and goes out of her way to make sure one gets what they need. I think the "winning" part is the SAME as ANY casino..... sometimes you win, sometimes you lose... that is the nature of casinos. Anyone who says they always win is lying. At twin arrows, you have a nice hotel, very nice restaurants, and plenty of games of choose from.
For me and my husband, I don't mind the drive to get there (even though I am 15 minutes from another casino) as Twin Arrows is right up there with Las Vegas!!!

It's still not large, but Bucky's is in the Prescott Resort hotel, at the top of the hill across the road freom where that little restaurant is.

Will be curious to take a look at Twin Arrows the next time I'm up that way.

Was in Flagstaff recently and my host wanted to get out of the house for a few hours. So we went over to Twin Arrows. I'm not really into casinos, so my first trip will be my last. Left feeling depressed, the people playing there were either white trash or locals from the tribe. All had the look of spending the last dime of their paycheck in the penny slots. Nobody looked happy to be there.
