But I don't know if that is OLD or NEW Burro Creek Rd. So please don't go driving around out there on my word. It's pretty desolate out there, no water, no services, no roads...but gorgeous.

As all of Hwy 93 gets widened out to 4 lanes, I can see more development along the hwy, but not a lot.
As you stated. Hwy 93 was already 4 lane as far back as 2006.........I suspect it is mostly that way now

There is a fairly large section of Hwy 93 between Wikenberg and Wikieup that has been widened to 4 lanes, but it is not all done yet. Last year, they widened a few miles just north of Wikieup, and they have been widening 93 south of Interstate 40 for a while.

However, I believe the 93 widening project has been put on indefinite hold until the budget crisis is resolved.

There is a new subdivision on Hwy 93, just south of Interstate 40 that has sold a couple of houses. Otherwise, Wikieup is mostly just a bathroom/lunch stop on the way to/from Las Vegas. I believe the population is only around 250 people or so.

Calls to mind the public service commercial that ran on TV years ago... "Before you move to Rainbow City, make sure there IS a Rainbow City".

Wikieup is never going to be much more than a bump in the road.

I have been to Wickieup about 18 years ago - what is the current population and do you ever think people will move there?

I forgot to mention that when passing through we were listening to the radio and heard Alice in chains and till this day we laugh to ourselves when we hear that popular song by them and say "Wickieup"

Probably hasn't changed much. Population is currently around 300.

You know what puzzles me about that place - how do people get the things they need - if someone who lives there can answer I would love to know.

Thanks
