There are no jobs in Wikieup. If you can find a job in Kingmam, it is a 40-50 minute drive one way.

no jobs in Wikieup? it depends on what you are willing to do. Granted they are far and few between.

Thanks for the info - 40 - 50 minutes is not bad especially when you are used to commuting in NYC.

Commuting from Wikieup-- not just for a job in Kingman, but for ANY kind of service/shopping, makes no sense. Just live in Kingman.

Kingman = bright lights and big city?

I can understand wanting to get away from a truly big city. And it sounds good, at first. But once you realize you can't just run to the corner for just about anything, as you can in a big city, and have to drive 40--50 minutes for practically any service or any significant shopping, I'd bet it gets old fast.

Fella - if you have ever been to NYC you will know what I man - wall to wall everything - traffic, people, crazy people, crazy politicians, exhuberant taxes and everything else. I bet the real estate tax in Wikieup is dirt cheap and you could get a nice house too!

and I forgot to mention - you take a drive to Kingman once or twice a week for the goodies - you have something to look forward to and not take everything for granted.

I doubt the property taxes are much cheaper in Wikieup than in Kingman. They're already so low here. There are also a couple of areas in between, you know. Blake Ranch, and DW ranch are both like 15 or 20 minutes from Kingman. Lots of space out there if you want your solitude. Then going out Stock Hill Rd to the north of Kingman, same deal.
