How hot is it during the summer in AZ?
Arizona has a very diverse climate in the summer, where the daytime high temperatures can be 115 degrees at the lower desert elevations in July, and 40, with a windchill factor at the Agazi Point on the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, at the elevation of 11,500 feet above sea level, and even colder on nearby Humphery's Peak, at 12,633 feet.

Flagstaff and other Mogollon Rim cities, like Showlow and Pinetop are not that far from Phoenix, and you can get to milder summer temperatures with an hour's drive outside of Phoenix.

Those threads don't hit til March. October is typically gorgeous in the midwest.

Phoenix has hit 122 / 123 degrees. Other places like Yuma or Bullhead City have gone higher.

If its so gorgeous, then why does the White-crested Spectacled Snowbird start coming to Arizona in October?

Yes, really. They trickle in starting late Oct but the majority come later as you know ... or don't.

No, thanks. I prefer to remain as "clueless" about Michigan as you are about Arizona.
