We are relocating back to the Valley after a 4 year absence. We use to live in North Peoria (107th Ave & Deer Valley). We are looking now at moving to Litchfield park just west of the wigwam resort (Toll brothers commuity).
Any info on Schools / area / growth?
Thanks
Tony

Hi, I live in Goodyear, and I used to work in Litchfield Park, so I'm fairly familiar with the area you're thinking about moving to. I don't know when you were here last (you said you moved away four years ago, but have you been back to visit since then?), but the area surrounding Litchfield Park has changed a lot in the past four years, and is continuing to change.

For starters, a new mall, caled Estrella Falls Mall, is getting built on McDowell, between Pebblecreek Parkway (one exit west of Litchfield Road, which is just west of the Wigwam) and Bullard (between Pebblecreek and Litchfield Rd), slated to open next year.

A bunch of new residential neighborhoods have gone up in that immediate area, as well, over the past few years. Don't know much about the schools in Litchfield Park, though.

Goodyear, on Estrella Parkway (Pebblecreek Pkwy, south of I-10), is getting a brand new spring training stadium for the Cleveland Indians, slated to open 2009.

All along Estrella Pkwy and McDowell/Bullard, a lot of commercial development is happening...new stores and restaurants...a new Harkins movie theater...even a new hotel or two. The entire area is nice now, but should be even better within the next couple years, once all the entertainment and dining options are in place.
