I don't understand when foreigners want Thailand before any other Asian nation while there are other available options resembling Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong/Macau/China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Of course I am fan of Thailand too.
More active nightlife plus larger selection of prostitutes.
The cost of visiting Thailand doesn't have to bankrupt the average tourist. It's easy enough to find a nice guesthouse to stay in for 1000 baht a night or less. A meal can cost 35 baht, if you don't mind Thai food. It's also cheap to visit Vietnam and Cambodia. Malaysia can be almost as inexpensive.
Hong Kong and Singapore can be expensive if you're not careful. A different story altogether.
Why are you saying any derogatory condescending remarks on Malaysia, and those other surrounding or not too far away nations? They are all unique, and have a powerful cultural realm. Around Malaysia they even have their own universal alien racial classification not originally found anywhere else. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malay_race and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_Malay alternatively known as Bumiputera or Bumiputra (Jawi: بوميڤوترا) Melayu Anak Jati or Melayu Anak Dagang depending on if they are native or not. Religious spirituality demographics is a really unusual harmonious blend with millions of Buddhist, Hindu, Christian, and Muslim citizens less than 1% atheist. There isn't any other country really having Malaysia's exact statistical demographic.
Singapore's business activity is undeniably a top ranked international force to be reckoned with, and Singapore-Brunei-Macau are really successful ending up wealthier than a vast majority of the Globe.
I can say nothing about Vietnam, because I have never been there. but I know exactly Taiwan is incomparable!
I fell in love with this country!
u should go there to travel
Grrr, where would you go if you don't "do" prostitutes? So far, I've been to HK, China, Japan. I liked HK best but found them all interesting.
Lots of nation in Asia is pretty conservative, like India/Sri Lanka/Indonesia/Vietnam/Myanmar or even the more developed place like Taiwan/Korea/Japan. You just have to know where to go. There are always this "dirty" sides in a country, but they aren't as obvious in some parts of Asia. If you must try North Korea, prostitution is bad image for the country and its illegal.

Your answer is almost completely unrelated to my question. I am not opposed to prostitution and I am not asking where I can go that has no prostitutes. I was asking what countries, of the ones being discussed, are the most interesting to visit from the point of view of someone who does not intend to visit prostitutes; in other words, which have the best scenery, history, ambiance, tourist attractions, etc.

I believe China has it all. Of course, it's also the biggest country.
