This is probably a dumb question, but I am just curious if people who look more Asian in the Philippines gravitate towards others who look more like themselves and stay away from those who look more Latin (and the same with the more Latin looking people) . . .

Definitely not. For one, people who look Latin in the Philippines, will be perceived as having more money, more access to wealth, and as having a good DNA for their future babies, etc.

most people in philipines like other southeast asian people are no different from indonesians, malaysians, thais etc.filipinos nothing look like Latin at all in appearance, just because filipinos like to be hispanic / latin rather than native appearance make them are pretending to be latin / hispanic.of course many claims from those who claim they have spanish or euro blood. even in Indonesia tons of stars commercials, models,sinetron ,film there are so many of them have mixed - blood ( eurasian ) and almost all of them have hispanic/ Latin lookin , but never claim they are is

You have it backwards. The wealthiest classes actually look the most Asian (Chinese). There are a few completely European families in the upper-class, but the majority of the upper-class are Chinese-descent, or Chinese-Spanish-Filipino-descent. Look at the 10 wealthiest Filipinos:
2 are pure Spanish, the other 8 are pure Chinese. So being more stereotypically Asian-looking is associated with being wealthier in the Philippines. The pure European Filipino types are so rare that Filipinos dont even associate them with upper-class Filipinos. Filipinos just think they're foreigners.
On the other hand, most of the Latino-looking people in the Philippines are regular poor folks. You see them all over the place. For example, this guy:

He would be mistaken as Latino in the US, he doesn't look stereotypically Asian. But Filipinos would consider this to be an ordinary Filipino man. He wouldn't be considered as having "good genes" or a wealthy look. This is just what a lot of regular Filipino guys look like

Most people in the Philippines dont care about Hispanics or Latinos any more. That was a fad that went away in the early 2000s. They dont even show Latin telenovelas on the TV any more. Filipinos watch a lot more Asian (Korean, Chinese) stuff and listen to K-Pop, not Latin music.
And the situation in the Philippines is different from Indonesia. There are actually Filipino celebrities who look Hispanic because they are of Spanish-descent. There are a lot. A few I can think of off the top of my head:
Enrique Gil and Julia Barretto
Coleen Garcia
Richard and Lucy Gomez-Torres
Chito Gascon. He's not a celebrity. He's a human rights activist. I just threw him in there to prove that they're not all attractive celebs. Some of them have real jobs
The funny thing is, you actually dont hear them claim or talk about their Spanish ancestry because it's usually ancestry from a few generations back. These people arent even in touch with their Spanish ancestry and dont seem to care about it.
On the other hand, there are also a lot of Filipino celebs who are half German, British, Italian, etc etc. These are the ones that I actually hear talking about their German, British, Italian, etc heritage because they actually have a parent who is from that country. They can usually still speak the other language too. With Filipinos of Spanish-descent, the connection to Spain is already lost. Most of them cant even speak Spanish.

Actually, unlike Indonesia, Thailand or other countries. The Philippines actually has a large minority of people of Latino/Euro descent which isn't present or is very small in the other countries.

But the worship of European/Latin appearances remains strong. If I talk to Filipinos, I'm being called 'sir' every two seconds because of being white. Maybe they do that to Chinese people too...but they seem to rever the mixed/white/latin look the most.
And when a person watches FILIPINO TV....it feels like you have to have non-filipino mix to be a tv star. They worship everyone who is half-something else.
It seems like the OP is worried that by being Latin, they will be prejudice against him/her, but that's not the case at all. Filipinos treat anyone who looks 'American/Latin/European' as something well-above them financially and income-wise.
The catch if you go eat with the average Filipino, they'll expect you to pick-up-the-tab for everything. I've walked into malls in the Philippines and had fathers ask me to buy their kids ice creams. They just assume foreigners can throw it around. I don't think they'd ever dream of doing that to a Chinese-Filipino wealthy person though. 'Hi Sir, you are Chinese-Filipino, can you buy us dinners, toys, and gifts? Come and meet my mom, we want a new refrigerator'. No, they wouldn't do that. But if you from the U.S./Europe, those things are asked of people! 'Can you buy me a new phone?'
I'm not saying every encounter...but it WILL happen at some point with someone.

Everybody would get "sir-maa'm" unless they think they rank you socially and then with someone like a jeepney driver you become kuya. The person throwing the party pays. generally the foriegn visitor is not just dropping in on a party but the party is for him and the locals are tagging along.
Among Southeast Asian countries, people in the Philippines seem to admire western/Latino culture the most. However I also have the impression that they are increasingly into Asian pop culture nowadays.
The other extreme is Vietnam, people there seem to watch a lot of things from China/HK/Taiwan. Many of them know about the TV series I watched in China as a child.
