I believe it is an unnatural act. I do not hate anyone. I just find two men (or women) having a sexual relationship is a deviation of what is normal.

I am a believer in God, too.

Well, I am curious what other atheists believe about homosexuality. My experience is that in general atheists don't care about people's private sexuality. I think very simply -homosexuality is Nature's population control.

No, i meant literally 2 pieces of dirt, not metaphorically about two gay people.

The extreme Christian movement is in the process of destroying the fabric of America in it's selfish defining of what is good and evil. Not only that, but they just cannot leave people alone who do no harm to anyone. Who the hell are you to judge what is good or decent?
Who are you to say i can't?

I am beginning to think you hang around in this forum just to satisfy your desire to harass people who do not accept you beliefs.
I'm not asking anyone to accept my beliefs, i am just explaining and exhorting my belief, since when have i told anyone that they had to believe as i do?

We have had gay unions here in Canada for a number of years now and I assure you our country is doing just fine. Actually a large part of the reason for this is that we have far fewer people that follow your evil archaic book.
Do they call it marriage?

It's not my book... i just get the benefit of reading it, and learning from it. Since when are old things bad? That great old book has gotten us this far. I think it's truths will outlast those that call it evil.

godspeed,

freedom

Well you are in a thread talking to a bunch of atheists and agnostics. They don't believe in your god so the thread can't really advance without positing reasons other than "it's abusing a god given right". Specially when it comes to a thing like sex, I don't wanna get graphic either but we both know that there is a lot related to that 3 letter word which deviates from the norm.

With over 6 billon in the world, and counting, it's not doing a very good job.

Anyway, homosexuals make up a miniscule part of the earth's population, and any 'savings' are hardly worth noting down.

I would refer you to post 116. Leave out the 'God' bit if you like.

You also said this (see below). I find it interesting how the tone has changed.

It would be foolish to deny that this area of sexuality is complex. It is another feature of fallen and sinful mankind. No more or less than any other. But it is sinful.
So you believe in the bible. The bible says homosexuality is wrong. You don't believe in homosexuality because of what the bible says. Now read what i meant to type (violate). So I can see your confusion. I think.

I certainly am confused. Why don't you just come out and ask a straight question?

No change of tone. If believing in God's word makes me not welcome to discuss this subject, it only shows how intolerant you are.

Of course, every minute of the day, we all violate God's laws to a greater or lesser degree. That, as I have said before, is because we are all part of fallen and sinful mankind.

Yeah, like telling people they are sinners and homosexuality is wrong is not intolerant. Done!

You have confused me, but not in the way you were hoping.
No, that's not it!

Just ask me the question.
