There defense is, "well I don't take a salary", that's fine, this is a capitalistic society and by no means should there be a cap on how much a preacher or anyone else makes, but if their way of giving back is saying I don't take a dime of the church's money then that doesn't sit well with me. Point being everyone has a job making money outside of the church, yet they themselves are always asked to put more of their personal in the church while the pastor in my opinion (as the leader of the church) could put more of his/her personal money back into the church and community for that matter that made them so rich and famous, instead of driving around in bentleys etc. The love of money above all else is the root of all evil but money itself does not equal bad/evil. I know I've been long-winded but the point is as a pastor, you're looked upon differently than a rich banker, rapper, etc. you supposedly have a higher calling, thus you're held to a higher standard, and instead of spending 200K on a car, maybe show a little restraint and I don't know opt for a 100K and put that extra 100K back into the church that made you.
Or build a youth center or a rehab or a homeless shelter in the community. How about that? Buy some of these foreclosed homes and help lower income families rent to own. Their is so much that can be done with the money but to be materialistic and buy a 250k car for yourself is not very godly like.

BTW, whomever said that it does not tell christians to tithe is grossly misinformed. You see, there are indeed several verses in Malachai and Genesis that encourage us to tithe. Not to keep any Pastor in a nice car, but to keep a spirit-filled ministry going.

Consider this......

Do most of you know how much it takes to run a church as big as World Changers? Not to mention we employ satellite streaming data to over 20 satellite churches across America so people in NY, Houston, LA, Carrollton, Duluth, Marietta proper, and elsewheres can listen to the sermon? Sure aint come free now did it.....

Or, what about our outreach ministry in Haiti that is currently constructing housing for those affected by the Jan. earthquake? Now seriously, I would LOVE to know how many people on this forum (how many black people anyway) actually sent some sort of money or aide down to haiti in the past 4 months?

Or how about the various schools were building overseas? Or the job fairs we host monthly? Or the plan of action we have in place with Atl Mayor Kaseem reed to help turn our city around?

You know, this is nothing personal to anyone, but I just find it hilarious that some of you find the gall to attack Creflo for only truly doing what he was called to do. Also, I will point out that the thousands of people who attend World Changers dont attend just to hear Creflo bump his gums every sunday. We go to hear what we know is the authentic word of God, manifest through Creflo's mouth. He teaches sound doctrine that has indeed made an impact on the world, via the people who attend.

Another thing.....this Creflo/Doctor King comparison.......I think King would be very pleased at Bro. Dollar's work, in that Creflo is only being OBEDIENT to what God asked him to do....just like King was Obedient unto his death. I see alot of you "educated" african-americans (cuz thats what yall wanna be called these days...lol smh) are quick to comment on the civil rights movement.....man yall have not the slightest clue as to what King was fully involved in and why his assassination was ordered.....ORDERED (message). But funny, we run behind a fraud in the white house and are quick to denounce anywords against Obama as if he was some sort of a God. Man, get real!!!!

Creflo is doing his job, and the proof is how God allowing him to walk in the prophetic (but I suppose some of you "educated black liberals" dont believe in prophets or anything of the prophetic now do you) and speak things that arent as if they were and it comes to pass. As a suggestion to you scoffers out there, I really would do my homework on these mega-ministries that yall are quick to denounce because yall have hidded guilt issues and secrets that you might not want city-data.com readers to know about (lol.........message)....when you raise a voice of ridicule against those doing their given work there are indeed consequences to deal with......

True, some of these big churches have indeed scammed the flock, but some of that fault also goes to those that let that happen. If one is led by the Spirit of God, and walks in love, and seeks after God's own heart, then God will lead that person to where he or she can hear the truth. Most Americans, however, have this jaded idea of love, that God somehow is supposed to be your genie or something....how horrible of an attitude is that? Or that the things of God are an obligation.....a burden....You know, I was in service today, and Creflo made a point.....a good one too. True enough, you might have some charities out here that feed the homeless, and what not, but how many do it because they actually love those homeless people? You know some groups out here do charity just to cover up the evil they do outta sight.

Point Im tryin to make, Creflo's agenda is not a social one....leave socialism for Barack Obama, since so many black people wanna worship the man like he's Buhha-Homed-Mose-christ! lol Creflo's got a spiritual task, so we, the parishoners can get out here and change the world. like my young black collegiate self, bout to get my degree next year (yessir!!!)

Funny thing is, when gas shortages hit America, when food gets scarce, when finding clean water is an issue, when inflation hits quick, when thousands drop dead of disease, the first thing people will find is some preacher, not unlike Creflo, to pray for them......sheesh...the nerve. And dont say it wont happen here in America. We thought 9-11 would NEVER happen on OUR soil. Shocked ur mind that day huh....many more woes will come across this nation that will make 9-11 seem like a mole-hill. If this nation keeps on trusting in our so-called education (that is flawed anyway, especially in black america), and not leaning toward God and the physical manifestation of Him in Jesus Christ, then I can guarantee America will not be the same in the not-to-distant future.

One.
You keep giving these super long responses... that few if anyone is actually reading.. but still dont respond to the quote I pointed out earlier.

Isn't it not in the bible to help the poor? You have all of these homeless families in the wonderful city of Atlanta that are homeless and are LIVING ON THE STREETS. What have you or his church done to feed, clothe and HOUSE your cities poor? Yet you take their money? I think you have things twisted with the REAL FACTS!

Here's a scripture for those who portray such IGNORANCE;

Mathew 41-46
41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Enough said, I will not argue with you so please don't try.
Peace!!!!!
None of them will respond to this... its already been pointed out 3 times and not one of them will even bother to address it. That pretty much tells you all you need to know.
