One minor quibble: Change the streetcar/light rail line colors to something else, say, dark gray, purple, etc., so as not to confuse them with the existing HRT lines. Otherwise that looks fantastic.

Also, it raises the fact that the proposed junction near Ponce Market might turn out to be quite the engineering challenge!

It won't be too bad. The LRT will just cross over themselves and use Somerset Ter to get to North Ave.

(It is worth adding that the PCM stop will need to be moved north of the junction on the map since it is north of North Ave.)

Actually if PCM will be a terminal for one line, it will have to be at least three tracks so terminating trains can move out of the way of the through trains without having to cross over both tracks. Basically the Green Line at edgewood except platforms at the pocket track.

Maybe, I'll consider it after I finish the next map. I figure between the letter names, and the different presentation, it might be alright.

I'm remaking the map using the phase-2 operations scenario from the 2014 plan. It fixes a few geometry issues I had while making the first map and makes my (non-existant) OCD a bit more happy.

I haven't seen any plans that call for PCM to be the end of a line.

The Beltline runs over North Avenue by a full grade, so, I'm sure they will be 2 different lines, with a pedestrian transfer.

PCM @ the Beltline might be the end of the line for starters, but eventually I hope the North Avenue line continues over to Moreland, then maybe even through L5P and end up at Inman Park-Reynoldstown Station. So it would be a line that runs between there and Bankhead Station.

So, a bit off topic, but I remember the unified bus signs being a thing of conversation here. So, I found the ARC design paper from 2013 (it's just on their webpage)

Here's the document.

Sadly, it only really looks like it's only for Midtown, which is really too bad! I wouldn't mind seeing an inventory on doing the entire MARTA system, and maybe all the other transit partners listed in the document.

Using the existing channel posts, each sign upgrade could cost around $900, using the high costs, small panels (3 routes), and the top 3 ADA panels. Assuming 100,000 stops (I have NO IDEA how many actual bus stops MARTA has), the upgrade could cost about $90 Mil.

That's not insignificant, but it could be rolled out over the course of a few years, and be part of the overall expansion visions.

I personally would love to see a unified style to our transit systems' bus stops, and these would greatly help navigation where many bus routes overlap and interact, including the non-MARTA partners.

If they would cut the number of bus stops in half or more, as they should, then that would lower the costs.
